In happier news ...

After my last post, I was feeling a little negative and aggro, not something I like to be.

So, I would just like to report that I have a new running buddy. He's everything I could ask for. Energetic, friendly, tireless, and can run in a straight line ... sort of.

His name is Fry, named for:

He can already run 3.5 miles with me and usually only has to stop and poop once, which is sometimes less than me.

He can also be used for crucial cuddle therapy ...

... and his snaggle tooth is not only aerodynamic but also makes a killer can opener.

So even when life isn't all hugs and flowers, I'm psyched that I have both of these dudes to come home to every night.

Jessica...that IS happy news, congrats!! How fun, I too have turned my little dog into a running buddy. I recently moved and live near a lot of trails and she LOVES running off leash beside me. I think people are surprised that a little dog can run so far (she's half cocker spaniel, half cavalier spaniel) but she has endless energy! She's up to 8 miles! Sheesh! And, I have to say, a tired dog is a much more well behaved dog.

Are you still on for clearwater? I am still a bit burned out on strict training...not sure how you can still be going with this weather! Good luck though!

So cute! I wish I could have a doggy, but my kitties do a good job too :)

Laura, I am still in for Clearwater. My main goal is just to try and finish in the top half of the AG. Obviously, a pancake flat course doesn't exactly play to my strengths.

Training in this weather has been a challenge but I've found that getting out the door is the biggest challenge.
